I was station at Treasure Island while in the military. I was first assigned to the Navy Honor Guard, then I worked at the Staff Judge Advocate at Building 1. I had the most beautiful view of San Fransisco. I had an article in the TI Newspaper titled American as Apple Pie and Curry. The commanding officer's wife Mrs. Pohli had to put the sari on me as I couldn't and she had just return with her husband from attache duty in New Dehli, India. After getting out the Navy, I worked for a short period at the personnel office and then at the Naval Legal Service Office. It was quite the memorable time. My wedding photo appeared in either Look or Life magazine as it was on the dresser of the Pohli's home on YB where Patty Hearst got dressed for her secret marriage at Treasure Island. Also, one of my co-workers was at the Pleasanton Women's Prison while Patty Hearst was in prison. I would love to hear from friends. My address book and belonging were lost and I lost all contact information. I did run into Carol Yope in Coronado Island, neas NAS North Island, in San Diego, CA. I lost contact with her as well. I am also on Facebook. Looking forward to hearing from all of you.
