I also was on the "Toon" in 1962-63. The officer in charge (if anyone could be in charge of us) was a Chief Warrant Officer Huppie.. an amazingly cool and very salty old guy. My fondest memories of my Navy years were of that drill team. My toon name was Canker if anyone remembers me. The only name I can recall is Tim Shewmake... I think he was our "Hero"... wish I'd kept my collection of hero medals! I think, over the time I was involved, we marched some 36 different parades & exhibitions including San Francisco's Chinese New Year's parade and the St. Patrick's Day parade in Reno. I also have a dozen or so pictures of us marching... I'd love to see the video.
