Our paths probably crossed! I served as Director of TI's first Navy Family Service Center from late 1981 until I transferred to Naval District, Washington DC in late 1984. Remember many, many visits to CO's office to discuss departmental program issues during that time. Also recall fondly those first Fleet Week events, the family nights we had at the Casa de la Vista with Capt. Art Osborne and his wife Pat, and everything else about this fascinating location! These were some of the most challenging, and rewarding, years of my 20-yr career! Hope to get back up there for a visit soon. Museum now has my Service Dress Blue and Dinner Dress Blue (long skirt) uniforms. My first wedding occurred in TI chapel with Chaplain Goodwin officiating in June 1977. Also worked closely with base chaplains in designing and delivering "Preparation for Marriage" seminars for personnel assigned to TI. And, inspecting the Brig and TPU....always a highlight of being Command Duty Officer! Fun times!
