I was a transient at T.I from late 72 thru mid 73. I was a "Duty Driver" so I was delivering those white box lunches to the Guard Gates and Message Center and others. You know, the ones with the stale sandwich, hard boiled egg and an apple.
Best damn duty you could ever have. We stayed in the old/cold Barricks 16. What a bunch of misfits in that place. We closed the EM Club regularly. Had a lot of fun on and off the base. It's hard to find anyone with the same experiences.

: I just found this page and I really like it.
: I was stationed on T.I. 1969-1971 as a communications yeomen. I worked in the communications center. I the snack stand and the blind man that ran it. Time off I worked at the EM club making pizzas and brought one back to the barracks every night. My sleeping quarters was up stairs turns left. 12 on 12 off. Food runs to China town while on duty and the fireman barracks across from us and San Fran at night. It was a great time and loves.
