So happy this site turned up in my researching! I can ask people who would know!
First off, Treasure Island always fascinated me as a child growing up in the Bay Area. My
parents weren't intrigued, though, and I never got to see it other than from the window of
the car as we went over the bridge on our way to San Francisco.
One of my main characters served in Special Services in Viet Nam. He's now civilian, driving
a truck, but, due to his status and clearances, he gets contracted for some unusual loads. I
need to have him rendezvous with the other MC, who drives his second truck, to finish his
clearances in a hurry. There's a load to take to Oak Ridge.
My question is, would it be plausible for an agent to arrange to meet with them on
Treasure Island to get this done? The story takes place in the early 1970s, right now it's
March, 1971.
