: I attended ET School at that time, and eventually was discharged in
1957 as an ET Second Class. I would like to see what you have: (if
possible). Please reply. Photos would be great.
: Thank You.

: I wasn't present at TI during that time, but I did just finish
working in the National Archives going over the records of the TI
Naval base from 1954-55! I came across a lot of really interesting
stuff for a book I am about to complete on the history of the island.
Were you present on the island for the 1955 armed services day? I
found a large collection of photos from that event on the island, as
well as some from a naval officers retirment ceremony on June 28th,
1955.
I was there from Oct 54-may 55. I served as president of the chorus
during the Christmas season. We sang a concert at the top of the Mark.
Also had a picnic at the redwoods park. I have a picture of the
crew with Ruth in it but has aged. I got out as ET2, joined the AF as
Staff Sergeant , went to OCS and retired as a Major. Christmas never
comes that I do not think of those days. Martin Thomas was my good
friend. Regards, Lucius "Cap" Pooser Major, USAF (Ret.)
