My grandfather, Anderson Ernie Ford, Jr., was sent from NTS Farragut
to Treasure Island to train as a Naval Armed Guard. I'm looking for
information on which AGC (amphibious force command ship) he might
have served on. His notice of seperation papers showed him going
from Farragut to Arm. Grd Sch. San Diego, CA to AGC (PAC). From what
I've learned, this meant he was on one of these ships in the pacific
and it says he spent 8 months over seas. He would have arrived at
Treasure Island somewhere between October 30 1944 and mid-November
