: Hi, I don't mean to steal this message board, but I noticed that many of you are talking
about having lived on the island while it was a naval base. I'm doing a photo project on the
history of the island, and I am having an enormous amount of trouble finding images of the
island from when it was a naval base. If anybody here is willing to share any photographs
from this time period (family pictures, whatever you have), I would be very appreciative.

I have just a few pictures when I was stationed there from 1961-64, a member of the 12th
