: : I lived on "TI" as a military dependent from about 1968-1970 - teen years for me. We were bused off the island to Francisco Junior High, Lowell High and Galilio High schools. Friday and Saturdays nights would find the island teenagers at the "Teen Club" - many fond memories of dances there - we usually had a live band. We would also walk to the movie house, where for the price of a quarter, we could see the movie. Of course, everyone had to stand for the National Anthem played on the screen before the movie. We left TI in 1970 when my father received orders for Guam.

: Kathy, I have been communicating with other TI dependents... I was on TI 1968 thru 1971, i believe. My first year was at Portola Jr. High, then to Francisco Jr. High. Do any of these names sound familiar Terry Miltenberger, Janet or Donna Buettner, Pam Merrill.
