My Family lived on TI during 1965 to 1968 or 69'. My father was in the Navy for 23 years. I too have a lot of fond memories living there. I used to love the Teen Club and the dances we would have. I remember winning one of the dance competitions in 67’ and my price was a LP “Vanilla Fudge’. I remember that when we needed to make some extra money we would hang out on the skirts of the Brig and when they would through a ball over the fence we would fetch it for them and they would through us 25 cents.. lol… In those days it cost me 25 cents to go to the movies and I was shocked that it would cost me $1.25 on the outside. I remember going swimming off of YBI… so dangerous.. We used to take the PT boat over to Angel Island on Sadie Hawkins Day to have picnics and one time I remember a boy jumping out of the boat in the middle of the bay to go swimming. Lol. I would go swimming there all the time because they had a huge indoor swimming pool. Jumping off of the platform was so much fun because at that age it seemed so high up. It was fun living there… I’m not sure they liked us kids running all over the place.

I used to baby site for a family.. I think their last name was Pearson. I also remember one of my neighbors I used to hang out with, his name was Ronnie Silva. I think of him often!
